Staging Unforgettable Event Experiences W/ Elvis Radgman

With over three decades of experience as a practitioner, artist, policy developer, and consultant; Elvis Radgman has established himself as a visionary force in the Caribbean’s creative landscape. 

In this exciting conversation we chat about his dynamic career from dancing on the world stage to curating stages for artistic, corporate and cultural experiences. Elvis shares about his early days in Tobago, work in the arts & culture sector and his transition into entrepreneurship. Plus much more. 

We talk about the Tobago Harvest and Tobago Heritage Festival; which are two noteworthy and traditional events that occur on the island. He spoke about their significance, and with Tobago Heritage Festival in particular, how it helps the growth and development of Tobago, because it is a signature cultural tourism product. 

Elvis talks about taking risks in his career, pivoting and creating opportunities for business, entrepreneurship and for others. Over the years he has built a formidable business and brand and to do so, he spoke about listening to his gut, being observant, watching trends across the region and the world; to adapt them to the island and various business ideas. 

He spoke about his nature to go against the grain, to innovate and seek the next big idea. Which has allowed him to differentiate himself to make a impact and difference.  

Elvis shared the origin story of Stage Solution, the idea/thought which came to him while executing a event. It then triggered his desire to find a "solution" to a problem which existed. After which he moved swiftly to fix that problem; by researching and investing in equipment which contributed to the birth of the company.

Elvis said that people want to have memorable moments. They crave the new and exciting, where in those spaces they are transported for sometime in another world. Then after the event, that moment and feeling stays with them most times forever. 

His advice for creatives when designing pathways for success is to; stay hungry, stay persistent, never stop learning, build your networks, use your mentorship, do your research, don't be afraid to ask for help and diversify your skill. He said don't just follow the path that exists. 

In closing, Elvis spoke about his desire and dance with Destiny and Greatness.  He has always had a sense and hunger for something more, and that is what he pursued as his passions led him. His advice for the young is to "push the envelope" and  "create your own path".
