Gennike Mayers is a Language Acrobat who masters three key languages of the Caribbean region; English, Spanish and French with a sprinkling of Haitian Kreyol.

After attaining a B.A in French, from the University of West Indies, she was among the first graduates to go to Martinique under the English Assistant programme of the French Government in 1999.  She later spent three years in Martinique, six years in Guadeloupe and then three years in Haiti; which to date created her lovely French West Indian accent.

Today, Gennike continues to pursue her passion for bridging barriers in the Caribbean region.  She helps people escape the quicksand of cross-cultural confusion to stand firm in the promised land of comprehension, connection and cooperation!

In this episode we chat about her love of languages, her passion for travel and helping people through causes, communication and education. Gennike, is an advocate for Caribbean people to explore our own space and "backyard" to experience our varied cultures, arts and also uniqueness. Have a listen as we chat about the love for languages.
